TAPOL has a small, committed and friendly staff team. From time to time opportunities become available to join us, either in a paid or voluntary capacity, and vacancies are advertised on this page.
As a grassroots organisation founded by concerned individuals, volunteers have played a huge part in TAPOL’s work over the past forty years. TAPOL enjoys the support of a number of long-term volunteers, as well as students and young professionals. Some of our volunteers have contributed their time and skills in the areas such as web design, administration and translation. Others are seeking experience in research, policy, publications, advocacy and communications.

Join our Board
TAPOL is overseen by a Management Committee which has a wealth of experience of Indonesia, human rights, campaigning, and NGO management. The Committee includes members and advisers based both in the UK and Indonesia who take an active interest in TAPOL’s affairs and strategic direction.
There are vacancies on the Committee, and TAPOL is particularly interested to hear from individuals with skills and experience in the following areas: Indonesia, human rights, transitional justice, research, campaigning, fundraising, human resources and employment law, and communications.
By joining our Board you will join a group of highly motivated, friendly and committed people. You will be involved in strategic decision-making and have the opportunity to work with staff on operational matters and projects as desired.
As Indonesia continues its journey to democracy and the UK becomes increasingly focused on business interests in Indonesia, the 2018–2015 period promises to be a particularly interesting time to get involved!
