We are looking for a motivated researcher with a strong background in peace and conflict to conduct a one-year research project with TAPOL and Pasifika, a not-for-profit popular education and action research programme designed strengthen the capacity of civil resistance groups in the Asia Pacific region.
The post-holder will be responsible for carrying out high quality case study research on self-determination conflicts, working with staff at TAPOL and Pasifika as well as external editors, reviewers and translators.
She or he will also have the capacity to strengthen and build networks in case study locations where necessary, supporting communication between local civil society groups and project partners. There will also be opportunities to engage with TAPOL’s other projects and campaigns and take a full part in the life of the organisation.
This unique and engaging role calls for a strong ability to work independently and as part of a small team, proven track record of undertaking research projects, and excellent writing skills.
